Welcome

Hi, I’m Lorin Puebla, MS, ALC, NCC. I provide trauma-informed, neuroscience-based therapy in Bay Minette for children, teens, and adults. Using structured approaches including Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), I help clients move beyond insight alone to meaningful nervous system regulation and lasting emotional change.

My office in Bay Minette’s historic courthouse square offers a quiet, safe space for genuine transformation.

A woman with shoulder-length wavy blonde hair, wearing an olive green blazer and light gray t-shirt, sitting on a brown leather couch in front of a neutral wall.

My work is trauma-informed, neuroscience-based, and intentionally structured. I help clients move beyond insight alone by focusing on nervous system regulation and focused trauma processing. Using evidence-based approaches, including Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), therapy is paced and phased, beginning with stability and regulation, then moving into deeper processing as appropriate. This approach allows clients to address long-standing patterns, anxiety, and intrusive symptoms without becoming overwhelmed or traumatized.

ART is a trauma-processing approach that works with the brain and nervous system to resolve distressing experiences without repeatedly reliving them.

How I Help

Who I Help

Many of my clients experience symptoms that feel automatic, intense, or unresolved despite prior therapy. I help people navigate:

  • Trauma (childhood, relationship, complex trauma)

  • Emotional overwhelm / dysregulation

  • Anxiety, panic, and chronic worry

  • OCD / intrusive thoughts / compulsive patterns

  • Anger and emotional reactivity

  • Identity loss, burnout, life transitions

What Makes My Work Different

My work is structured, paced, and intentional. I use evidence-informed, trauma-focused approaches, including Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), to help the nervous system process and regulate what insight alone hasn’t resolved. This method allows clients to break negative patterns and build stability without retraumatizing processing.

The therapy environment can influence how safe, grounded, and emotionally present someone feels during treatment.

At The Counseling Haven, the space was intentionally created to feel calm, welcoming, and supportive for children, teens, and adults engaging in meaningful therapeutic work.
